Radicals of semigroups and semigroup algebras

In the paper, diverse lower radicals of semigroups are considered, and it is shown how these radicals can be used when evaluating the prime radical of group and semigroup algebras. Conditions are found under which the prime radical of a group algebra coincides with an ideal generated by some congruence. Bibliography: 22 titles.
