On qualitative properties of solutions of some hyperbolic systems on the plane

This paper substantiates the linearization principle in the case of mixed problems for autonomous hyperbolic systems with one space variable. A class of boundary conditions is singled out, whose existence is a necessary and sufficient condition for raising the smoothness of a solution of the corresponding mixed problem for the linear homogeneous system.
