L'uso di un software di Geometria Dinamica nella formazione dei futuri insegnanti

In questo lavoro presentiamo alcune considerazioni relative alle modalità di impiego di un software di geometria dinamica nell'insegnamento della storia della matematica a livello universitario. Dopo una breve introduzione al software GeoGebra, discutiamo quattro attività che abbiamo sperimentato con gli studenti dei nostri corsi: un'esplorazione del menu delle costruzioni seguendo la traccia del primo libro degli Elementi di Euclide; un'attività sui pentagoni regolari e sui pentagrammi avente lo scopo di confrontare il metodo della sintesi con quello dell'analisi; una lettura con GeoGebra degli scritti di Poncelet sulle secanti ideali di una conica; un'attività per comprendere l'intuizione geometrica di Cremona e Hirst sull'inversione di Bellavitis-Hirst di un cerchio con l'ausilio delle caratteristiche dinamiche del software. Infine, discutiamo le ragioni per cui crediamo che questo genere di attività possano essere molto efficaci nella formazione del futuro insegnante di matematica.
In this paper we present some considerations about the methods of using a dynamic geometry software for teaching history of mathematics at university level. After a short introduction to GeoGebra, we discuss four activities we have experienced with students in our courses: an exploration of the “Tools Menu” following the outline of the first book of Euclid's Elements; an activity on regular pentagons and pentagrams with the aim of comparing the methods of synthesis and analysis; a GeoGebra assisted reading of the writings of Poncelet about ideal secants of conics; an activity for understanding the geometric intuition of Cremona and Hirst about Bellavitis-Hirst inversion of a circle with the help of the dynamic features of the software. We finally discuss the reasons why we believe that these activities may be very effective in the training of prospective teachers of mathematics.
