In this work the Author examines for the first time the ultrastructure of the spermatozoon in a Sipunculid worm, Golfingia gouldi. The observed characters indicate a very primitive pattern of marine sperm: non fibrous perforatorium, cup-like acrosome, vesicular mitochondria, «9 + 2» axoneme. The phylogenetical meaning of the observations is discussed.
