Résumé

Histochemical observations have been made by the Gomori technique on the localization of acid glycerophosphatase in some glutaraldehyde or formol-calcium fixed tissues of metamorphosing Musca domestica. The degeneration of larval epidermis and midgut depends upon autolytic processes with the direct intervention of lysosomes: the observed histochemical aspects indicate in effect striking changes in their morphology and a strong diffusion of the enzyme in the cytoplasm. The first stages of larval muscle histolysis take place on the contrary without any histochemically detectable intervention of acid phosphatase, which is only afterwards present in uni or multinucleate haemocytes which phagocytize the muscle fragments.
