Galileo Galilei and his writings, both the literary and the scientific ones, have always been of interest for the Italian poets and writes. Parini, Foscolo, Leopardi, F. De Sanctis and afterward the critics from the 19th and 20th century, although in ways different the one from the other and reaching different conclusions, have studied and appreciated the style, the expressions and the way of communicating of the scientist from Pisa. The dialectic mostly used by the scientist is the most suitable for the confrontation and to argue. This is the case in the Saggiatore and the Dialogo sopram i due massimi sistemi, as well as in the polemic comparison between Ariosto and Tasso, and even more in the his letters.
