Recent studies on the relationshiop that could exist between movement, concrete practice and thought have brought mathematics to an educational approach based on a method that must include laboratory work. This would help motory-perceptive learning together with symbolic-reconstructive learning, the latter which requires a series of abstractions starting from a symbolic code, for example written language. In this work we propose certain aspects which tie perceptive thought with abstractive processes, within the frame of mathematical didactics. We will show the role they play in normal classroom work. Specifically we will furnish definitions which could give a new approach to the question which reguards the «concrete-abstract» dichotomy, with examples coming from didactic work in high schools.
