Riding a bicycle, the greater the velocity, the easier to keep upright. This is a common experience, but only recently mathematical models have been developed, to provide a scientific understanding of this fact and deriving quantitative relations. In this paper, we use a model based on the principles of classical mechanics, in order to show that it is possible to improve the stability performance of a bicycle by suitably setting its technical design feature.
