The purpose of the article is to introduce the basic concepts of integrable systems theory.
A lot of mechanical and physical systems can be modelled using Hamilton equations. Sometimes these equations can be solved and
solutions are expressed as trigonometric functions of time. It can be shown that even more complicated problems have sometimes similar
qualitative behaviour. This is the Liouville-Arnold theorem which is given here without proof.
