We examine simultaneous diagonalization of pairs of commuting Hamiltonians of two degrees of freedom, quadratic in nionienta, and their reduction to canonical form. A real partial separation of variables for the Clebsch top is carried out.
Keywords: separation of variables, Ciebsch top.
