This paper focuses on the digitization of the historical Periodical Publications - IČ, BIG and MG and work on it. Special attention is paid to specificities of these periodicals as examples of periodicals in history and humanities. In addition, it includes a few remarks about issues of digitization and presents some possibilities concerning this process. At the end, there is a short addition about markup languages with observations from users (historians) point of view.
