Promotion of Macedonian Traditional Folk Songs Through Modern Music Videos

Macedonian traditional folk songs have an important role in the Macedonian cultural heritage, but they are not as popular among the young generations as other trendy music. To make this music closer to younger audience, it needs to be presented in a modern way. Music videos give a significant contribution to the popularization of any song, so they can also contribute to the popularization of the traditional songs. In this paper we present the process of producing such videos, and we explain the benefits from the process for the students involved in it, and the benefits for the audience of the produced videos.
