Propagation of femtosecond pulses in carbon nanotubes

The generation of higher harmonics of carbon nanotubes interacting with femtosecond laser pulses was investigated. The analysis was conducted on the basis of quantum kinetic equation for the $\pi$-electrons involved in the inside of the band and inter-band transitions. The dynamics of the electromagnetic pulse, depending on the parameters of the problem, were studied.
