A Criterion for the Compactness of the Support of a Generalized Function (Distribution) in Terms of the Fourier–Laplace Transform

Using the Fragmen–Lindelöf principle, we prove that, in the Paley–Wiener–Schwartz theorem, the condition imposed on the function can be replaced by two conditions whose validity is easier to verify in a number of cases.
