Mathematical Thinking of P. Florensky and Some Geometric Fantasies with Discontinuous Functions
Matematičeskoe obrazovanie, no. 1 (2003), pp. 38-49
The paper concerns some philosophical and mathematical ideas of P. Florensky that deal with the notions of infinity, continuity, and discontinuity. Some problems for high school students are considered that involve the functions “entire part of a number” and “fractional part of a number”.
