Global circulation models of the Earth atmosphere. Achievements and directions of development

This paper presents an analysis of the level of description of the main physical processes in the Earth's atmosphere in modern General circulation models and provides a brief overview of modern models used by the main weather forecast centers. Promising directions for the development of models of the General circulation of the Earth's atmosphere are also discussed.
