On dynamics of small wind power generators

Basing on previously developed closed mathematical model, dynamics of a small horizontal axis wind turbine is studied. A procedure for identification of the aerodynamic torque is proposed for the case when the electromechanical interaction is non-linear in current. Elements of the system for comparative analysis of different wind turbines are developed. Results of simulation of the device behavior are compared with available experimental data. It is shown that good agreement takes place. Behavior of the system under changing wind is studied.
