The problem of the restoration of the current pulse flowing through the hollow cylindrical conductor (tube) with wall thickness much greater than the thickness of the skin layer is studied. The time dependence of the electric field intensity on the inner tube surface is used for restoration of the current pulse. The proposed method allows studying the evolution of penetration of the magnetic field across the conductor thickness. The results for the test problems as for the case of constant temperature so for the case of the temperature changing through the tube thickness are presented. There is also restored the current pulse in using the electric field intensity, measured at the inner tube surface in the experiment, held at the Angara-5-1 facility.
Keywords: restoration of current pulse; current skinning; inverse problem; submicrosecond current pulse; temperature correction.
