Three-dimensional calculation of resonant stresses in turbines

Methodology of resonant stresses calculation by the example of detail analysis of HPT first stage turbine blades has been presented. Unsteady gas dynamic loading of rotor blades was obtained by using three different CFD solvers. The method of logarithmic decrement estimation for various blade mode shapes has been developed. A comparison of experimental data and obtained calculation results showed good agreement.
