Numerical calculation and optimal design of composite structures with the given set of properties

During the last decades composite materials, composite structures and structurally inhomogeneous coatings are widely used in the instrumental industry, aircraft and space engineering. Due to this, development and improvement of numerical methods of calculation and optimal design of composite structures is of great importance. The paper presents the investigation of the problems of numerical analysis and optimal design of inhomogeneous composite coatings in the conditions of interaction with the wave fields. Qualitative regularities of the correlation between parameters in structures realizing the limiting possibilities of attaining the given set of properties are studied. The existence of qualitative regularities in the correlation of parameters describing the structure of optimal composite structures is stated. Finding of the above regularities served as the basis for developing the effective methods of the study of limiting possibilities of composite structures for attaining the given set of properties.
