The main feature of solving problems of inhomogeneous waves diffraction

Considering the knife-edge diffraction as an example, mathematical model of the interaction between inhomogeneous waves and barriers is proposed. Theoretically obtained coefficients of transmission of acoustic field to the other side of wedge agree with known measuring confirming reliability of the model.
