The model of corrupt power hierarchies

Corruption is one of the main causes interfering to normal activity of state power hierarchies. This complex phenomenon, nevertheless, may be studied in some important features with the help of mathematical modeling [1]. In this paper a mathematical model of corrupt power hierarchies is built on the basis of general model of system  – civil society> [2–4]. Concepts of corruption, extent of corruptibility, damage from corruption, cost of corruption suppression and efficiency of suppression are introduced and formalized in terms of mathematics. Computational experiments with model have shown that there exist more and less efficient strategies of corruption suppression [10] depending on extent of corruptibility in different parts of hierarchy and other relevant factors. Hence modeling may really help to understand more deeply ways for corruption diminishing in concrete systems  – society>. From mathematical point of view the model corresponds to Neumann boundary problem for some non-traditional integro-differential equation [11, 12].
