Numerical simulation of aero-optical fields near an open port of airborne observatory

The technique is described for numerical simulation of air flow near open ports with optical devices, the estimates of the influence of corresponding acoustical fields and turbulent pulsations on the optical index of refraction are presented. The computational results for 2D open rectangular cavity are described and discussed.
