The interaction process of the thin and extended rarefaction channel (warm needle) with main shock is investigated in case of blunted body being flown around. The warm needle is oriented perpendicularly to the face of the body. The opportunity of the flow around symmetry distortion and changing of the aerodynamic characteristics are shown. For flat symmetry (2D flow) aerodynamic characteristics were calculated.
