The results of numerical modeling of far plane turbulent wakes are presented. Three mathematical models of turbulence are attracted for the flow description; these are a one-equation model with a turbulent energy balance equation, a standard two-equation $e$-$\varepsilon$ model of turbulence and a modified two-equation $e$-$\varepsilon$ model of Rodi, which includes an algebraic approximation for the Reynolds stresses components. The momentum plane turbulent wake behind a cylinder is considered as far as the momentumless one behind the wing with a prolate crossection. The modified $e$-$\varepsilon$ model of Rodi permits to get the satisfactory coincidence of numerical and experimental data in both investigated cases without variation of empirical constants.
