ABIES – an easy introduction to professional programming

Despite the great advancements in the accessibility of educational tools for teaching programming and computer science over the last decades, most of these tools attempt to adapt the programming process to better suit learning by utilizing languages and platforms that are not used in industrial settings (with the notable exception of Python) – Basic, Pascal, Logo and Scratch are some of the applicable examples of programming languages with proven educational value that nevertheless fail to see application in the development of commercial, scientific or government software. Въпреки значителния напредък в достъпността на образователните инструменти за преподаване на програмиране и компютърни науки през последните десетилетия, повечето от тези инструменти се опитват да адаптират процеса на програмиране, за да отговаря по-добре на обучението, като използват езици и платформи, които не се използват в индустриални условия (със забележителното изключение на Python) – Basic, Pascal, Logo и Scratch са някои от приложимите примери за езици за програмиране с доказана образователна стойност, които обаче не намират приложение в разработването на търговски, научен или държавен софтуер.
