Broadening the students’ horizons in the mathematics class

The teaching of mathematics supports the development of students’ personalities – both with the specific knowledge they acquire and through the influence that mathematics has on their way of thinking. This report presents a specific problem that encourages students to seek solutions in different frameworks. An opportunity is presented to expand the practical benefits of teaching mathematics. Обучението по математика подпомага развитието на личността на ученика както със знанията, които той усвоява, така и чрез влиянието му върху неговия начин на мислене. В доклада е разгледана конкретна възможност за поощряване разширяването на кръгозора при мисленето на учениците, чрез една задача по идея от аполониевата окръжност. Учениците се насочват да изследват даден проблем при различни рамки. Показана е една възможност да се разшири практическата полза в обучението по математика.
