This short memoir contains some of my reflections on Acad. Blagovest Sendov’sthoughts and experiences related to his definition of himself as a “mathematician”.These span almost his entire life, from his early childhood to his last days. Thememories are based on what I have read and heard from him during my professionalactivity (since 1969). Този кратък мемоар съдържа някои от разсъжденията ми относно мислите и преживяванията на акад. Благовест Сендов, свързани с определянето му за себе си като „математик”. Те обхващат почти целия му живот, от ранно детство до последните му дни. Спомените ми се основават на това, което съм чела и чувала от него по време на моята професионална дейност (от 1969 г. насам).
