The formation and development of any personality is based on literacy. One of the important literacy is the mathematical literacy. The idea of the article is to provoke a discussion on the topic and to seek answers to the questions of how best to form in students mathematical literacy and literacy in mathematics. Формирането и развитието на всяка личност се основава на грамотността. Една от важните грамотности е математическата. Идеята на статията е да предизвика дискусия по темата и да се потърсят отговори на въпросите как най-добре да се формира у учениците математическа грамотност и грамотност по математика.
