What kind of content knowledge do mathematics teachers need for their practice? Does their education at the universities gives a good base for a successful work in classroom? These questions are highly relevant for the design of the mathematics teacher education programs as well as for investigating teacher’s professional knowledge. Какви знания са необходими на учителя по математика? Как могат тези знания да се характеризират? Отговорите на тези въпроси определят начина на поднасяне и структуриране на тези знания. Обсъждат се различията между университетската и училищната математика и начините на тяхното преодоляване.
