This volume contains the proceedings of the international
conference "Mathematics in 2004 at Kragujevac" which was held at
University of Kragujevac, on June 17, 18 and 19, 2004. This
meeting was organized by University of Kragujevac and its Faculty
of Science. It was the first joint meeting in mathematics between
University of Kragujevac and its partner universities which have
the official cooperation, together with mathematicians from other
universities in our country and from abroad.
Papers regarding most of the talks given at the the conference are
contained in this book.
On behalf of the organizers, I would like to thank all
participants for their contribution to the meeting.
I would very much like to thank Prof. dr Leopold Verstraelen of
the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), Doctor Honoris Causa
of University of Kragujevac, the Chairman of the conference, for
his great help and support in creating and realizing the
scientific part of the meeting.
I would like to thank the Rector, Prof. dr Mirko Rosic and
Vice-rector, Prof. dr Ruzica Nikolic of University of
Kragujevac, for their initiative to organize such a meeting, and
their help and hospitality, including the administrative and
technical personnel of University, for the excellent
collaboration.

Trifunovic, Dean of the Faculty of Science, for his interest in
