Let G be a real Lie group with finitely many connected components and let Γ be a cocompact subgroup of G. We define the transfer from Γ to G in the homological and cohomological theory of differentiable modules and we show that the Poincaré duality identifies homological restriction and cohomological transfer by proving a transfer formula.
