In this article the methodology of combining the mivar expert system and the simulation system for solving the problems of reconstruction and expertise of motor vehicle accidents (MVA) was described. The relevance of a subject was analysed and shown. The need for development of the methodology of combining the mivar expert system and simulation system for automation of work of the expert CEC (Criminal Expertise Centre) is defined. Approbation of the methodology was considered. The experiment of interaction between the expert system and the simulation system was carried out. The developed system «Analysis MVA» was used as an expert system, and the system of Virtual CRASH 3.0 was used as a simulation system. Thus, the application of the methodology to the real problem was described and demonstrated in the article. This proves the practical value of this work.
