The use of GIS in cartographic representation

This paper presents the results of field surveys of mudflow basins carried out by the Center of Geographic Researches of the KBSC of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic as part of comprehensive studies of the exposure of the KBR geosystems to dangerous exogenous processes. Numerical estimates of varying degrees of detail of the actual mudflow hazard of selected KBR geosystems are presented.
