The article discusses some of the results of the analysis of the relationship between the change of avalanche activity and the transformation of landscapes with consideration of human activity impacts on the selected area (the upper flow of Baksan river) over a long period of time (from the 80-ies of the last century). The results of this research can be used for numerical integral estimate of the actual avalanche danger of southern Elbrus vicinity.
