The paper deals with the support of virtual prototyping processes through the use of advanced threedimensional modeling software and augmented reality technologies that allow to manage and manipulate three-dimensional models using special imaging markers. The architecture of the information subsystem that integrates all the above aspects of virtual prototyping is proposed. The issues of creating a universal database project that contains a data from different modules of subsystem based on established enabling virtual prototypes allowing to create mobile applications with augmented reality are discussed.
