The analysis of the state of the glaciers of Bezengi and Mizhirgi in the period of the intensive degradation of the ice formation of the Caucasus beginning from the end of the 19th century was performed. The estimation of the rate of retreat of these glaciers since the end of the twentieth century to the present is presented.
Keywords: trough glaciers, speed of retreat, tachometer measurements.
