The authors describe the geology, modern geodynamics and seismicity of Starogroznenskoye field. Various hypotheses of the genesis of man-made earthquakes caused by the development of oil field are studied. The substantiation of the need for a geodynamic research test range Starogroznenskoye field and recommended range of geodynamic observations is presented.
