Biologicai activity of soils in agrocenoses
News of the Kabardin-Balkar scientific center of RAS, no. 6-1 (2013), pp. 118-125

The peculiarities of soil biological activity in agrocenoses of the steppe zone in Kabardino-Balkaria
including agrochemical properties, have been revealed. The studied arable soils are characterized by low
parameters of humus, invertase activity and respiratory rate at the medium and high levels of catalase activity. Тhe comparative analysis with analogous soils of natural biocenoses has shown reliable reduction
in humus contents and invertase activity. Сatalase activity varies in arable soils to a lesser extent.
