For the West Caucasus the authors developed a method for determining the maximum amount of solid debris flow deposits, based on the method of assessment of debris flow activity for the Central Caucasus, acquired in "High-mountainous Geophysical Institute." Technique underwent test checks for areas of Karachay-Cherkessia and the Krasnaya Polyana.
