Peculiarities in spectral properties of hollow photonic crystal fibers filled with fluid

Quantitative assessment of influence for refractivity of flow medium which fills air holes in photonic crystal fibers on the shift of photonic band gap in transmission spectrum is performed in this article. Ethanol solutions were used as an infill medium. Concentrations varied in wide range from 0,1$\div$95%. Sensory properties of photonic crystal fibers are confirmed. They may be used as an effective addition to well-known refractometric methods for spirit-based production control in food industry, pharmaceutical, biochemical analysis.
