On definition of strength of electric and magnetic
News of the Kabardin-Balkar scientific center of RAS, no. 1 (2003), pp. 37-41

The concepts of electric and magnetic field strength are analyzed. The definition of magnetic field strength is given as the ratio of the force acting on a current-carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field to the current. The definition is given based on the operation of dividing quaternions.
