State and development prospects of legal information and intelligent computer systems in the Russian Federation

The main types and characteristics of legal information systems existing in the Russian Federation are considered. Two classes of systems are described: information legal systems and intelligent computer legal consulting systems. The conclusion is made that intelligent systems are free from a number of disadvantages of legal information computer systems. It is shown that the development and application of intelligent computer legal systems is a progressive and high-tech task at the intersection of information technology and legislation.
