This paper presents the method and the RNAInSpace software elaborated to model the process of ribonucleic acid (RNA) folding. Unlike other techniques used for modelling folding, it is based on the principles of game theory and employs cybernetic-geometric ideas, i.e., it uses the geometrical relationships among the elements rather than physical ones when performing cybernetic experiments in silico. To validate rejection of the existing methods, the authors have shown previously that theoretically the use of the Monte Carlo method cannot ensure sufficient accuracy when searching for the RNA tertiary structure.
Keywords: game theory, RNA folding, NP-complete task, RNA tertiary structure.
