The article discusses the status and prospects of HPC technologies, both in Russia and worldwide. The main attention is paid to high-end systems, which correspond to the first ten positions in the Top500 world ranking. The Russian Academy of Sciences groundworks in the field of high-end HPC systems are also discussed.
