Some properties of root transfer matrices in eight vertex models

In this paper eight vertex models of statistical physics on square lattice are analyzed by a method of root transfer matrices. A theoretical material concerning a construction of root transfer matrices and a study of main (Perron) eigenvalues are described. Some questions of models classification are considered.
