On infinite groups with points

We consider the notion of a point, give examples of groups with points and prove a theorem on the location of points in subgroups of infinite groups. The research was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic research, grant 02–01–00078, and by grant No9 of the Sixth Competition of Scientific Projects of Young Researchers in 1999.
