Asymptotics of multi-index axial transportation polytopes

We consider the asymptotic behaviour of classes of multi-index axial transportation polyhedra as the order of the polyhedra grows. In particular, it is shown that as the order of the polyhedra grows, the ratio of the number of polyhedra with the maximal number of $k$-faces (for some $k$) to the total number of polyhedra tends to one.This research is supported by the Foundation for Basic Research of Republic Byelorussia, \linebreak grant $\Phi$95–70.
