On the automaton model of the learning process

We consider the problem of computer modelling of the process of learning a man in some problem domain. Basic requirements to computer-assisted learning systems are proposed. We thoroughly describe the main blocks of the really functioning computer-assisted learning system IDEA for Windows, which was designed by the authors on the base of their theoretical results on automaton models of the learning process.This work was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, grant 95–01–01264.
