A search for new methods for producing Bismuth ferrite nanoparticles BiFeO$_3$ with a small amount of impurity phases is developed. The synthesis is used on a cation exchange polymer matrix followed by the high temperature treatment. The phase composition of the intermediate and final products was studied by $X$-ray diffraction methods, including fullprofile refinement in the Jana2006 software package. In the frequency range 26.5–40 GHz, the dependence of the transmittance modulus for samples in an external magnetic field is obtained.
Keywords: Bismuth ferrite, multiferroics, microwave properties, magnetic properties, cation exchange synthesis, cation-polymer matrix, cationite.
